Delete your data
Last updated
If you have a Promotr account, there are three separate things you might want: delete what Promotr has stored, disconnect one ad platform, or remove Promotr's access in your Meta or Google settings. Each is described below, including what it does not remove. An early-access application is handled separately, at the end of this page.
Delete everything: delete your account
Sign in, open Your account, and under Delete your account choose Delete my account permanently. Promotr asks for your password again. Deletion happens immediately; there is no waiting period and it cannot be undone.
When you delete your account, Promotr deletes:
- your sign-in, your profile and your memberships;
- every organization where you are the only member, and everything in it — business details, connected ad accounts and their stored access, campaign and delivery data, recommendations, plans, uploaded ad image files and the organization’s history.
For an organization that has other members:
- If you are its only owner, Promotr will not delete your account until you make someone else an owner — otherwise nobody could manage it.
- Otherwise your membership is removed and the organization continues. Its history of important actions is kept, with your name removed. Some older history entries may still contain the internal ID Promotr gave your account.
- Ad accounts you connected stay connected for the other members, recorded as connected by nobody. To stop that, disconnect them before you delete your account, or ask an owner to.
Deleting your account does not withdraw Promotr’s permission in your Meta or Google account. Remove it there as described below.
Disconnect Meta or Google Ads
An organization owner can open Settings → Connections and choose Disconnect. This immediately deletes:
- the stored access Meta or Google granted Promotr;
- the ad account, campaigns, spend, impressions and clicks, and monitoring history Promotr copied from that platform.
Disconnecting does not delete:
- recommendations and campaign plans already made for your organization, or the record of changes Promotr made — they stay until the organization is deleted;
- anything in your Meta or Google account;
- Promotr’s permission at Meta or Google. Promotr does not withdraw it for you, because the same Meta or Google sign-in may be connected to another organization in Promotr and withdrawing it would disconnect that one too. Remove it yourself as described next.
Remove Promotr's access at Meta or Google
- Meta: on Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business Integrations, select Promotr, then Remove. Promotr connects through Facebook Login for Business, and Meta lists those connections as Business Integrations, separately from Apps and Websites.
- Google: open your Google Account’s linked apps, choose Access to your Google Account, select Promotr, then See details → Remove access.
This stops Promotr reading or changing anything from then on. At Google it applies to your whole Google Account: every Promotr organization you connected with that Google sign-in stops being able to read Google Ads.
It does not delete what Promotr already stored — Promotr is not told when you remove it, and will show that it can no longer read the account. To delete that data too, disconnect in Promotr or delete your account. For both Meta and Google Ads, Disconnect stays available on that screen, so you do not have to reconnect first.
What only Meta and Google can delete
Your campaigns, ads, spend history and billing live in your Meta and Google accounts, not in Promotr. Promotr cannot delete them, and none of the steps above does. A campaign Promotr created for you stays in your Meta account, paused, until you change or delete it in Meta Ads Manager.
If you applied for early access
Early-access applications are not open yet, so there are none to delete today. Once they open, an application is kept apart from Promotr accounts: deleting a Promotr account does not delete an application, and none of the steps above reaches one.
- Every application is deleted automatically 365 days after it arrives.
- To have it deleted sooner, write to the support address below. Promotr deletes it only after a reply from the address the application was made with, because anyone can type any address into the form.
- Deletion removes the application from the live database straight away. A short history kept by Promotr’s database provider can still restore it until that history ages out, within up to 7 or 30 days depending on the plan in use. A copy exported for review is separate: it does not age out, and Promotr deletes it by hand when it deletes the application.
The details are in the privacy policy’s early-access section.

Every deletion above except an early-access application is something you can do yourself in Promotr. Other ways to reach Promotr are on the Contact page.
